Hitcham

A captivating project showcasing bespoke cabinetry and exquisite paneling within a period 15th-century house.

Location: Hitcham, Suffolk

Project Type: Residential

Services: Bookcase, Paneling, Shelving and Studwork

In the library room, we constructed a new stud wall to preserve the existing walls while ensuring they were straight and level. We insulated behind the new wall and added elegant paneling, which was sprayed on-site in Farrow & Ball's Studio Green. This attention to detail extended to stairwell and living room paneling, creating a cohesive look throughout the home.

For the walnut cabinet in the library, we designed a unit featuring base cabinets and upper shelving. LED strip lights were expertly routed into the shelves, providing both practical illumination and a stylish touch. The cabinet itself was painted in The Little Greene Paint Company's 'Livid,' while the paneling was finished in 'Portland Stone,' resulting in a harmonious blend of rich and muted tones.
